The All American Legacy
Welcome to All American Company, where tradition meets innovation. Since 1930, we have been committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service. As we approach our centennial, join us on a journey through our rich history, milestones, and achievements that define our legacy.
In the brisk winter of 1909, visionaries Abe Schwartz and Dave Balkansky established the Manitowoc Brass Foundry Company. This venture, nestled in the heart of Wisconsin, laid the cornerstone for what would evolve into the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Company by 1912. Just two years later, we proudly occupied our new building at the corner of South 16th and Franklin streets, marking our first significant foothold in the industry.
With Abe Schwartz’s unanimous election as President in November 1921, a new era of leadership began, steering the company into prosperous years. By September 1930, Schwartz had taken sole ownership, transforming the company into a burgeoning industrial force renowned for its innovative metalwork.
By 1935, the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry was celebrated for producing arguably the best pressure cookers in the world. Our All American Pressure Cookers, launched in 1930, set new industry standards. In 1937, these iconic cookers were revamped for an improved aesthetic and functional design, accompanied by ambitious plans to expand our physical plant, enhancing our manufacturing prowess.
Decade after decade, our commitment to quality endured. Our products became synonymous with durability and reliability. The introduction of the pressure regulator weight in 1995 and the transition to a machined satin finish in 1998 further exemplified our commitment to product enhancement and consumer satisfaction.
In November 2022, we introduced our first collection of color pressure canners, an exciting expansion that met with great enthusiasm. By June 2023, these canners featured a new badge design, symbolizing our commitment to modernity and excellence.
